The Time We Have Wasted on Facebook

On the eve of tenth anniversary celebration of the Facebook an online portal created an application that calculates (roughly, of course) how much time we have spent so far on the most popular social network.

Next week Facebook will celebrate its 10th birthday. Created in a dorm room by Mark Zuckerberg and a few friends, Facebook.com was born on February 4, 2004. For one decade the social network has attracted 1.1 billion users whose wall posts, family and friends photos, messages and pokes compile a huge amount of time.

Facebook does not publish information about how long we have been logged into their network but they can follow the movement of our mouses and even keep what we have not shared. Certainly they have this information but it is unavailable for us for now.

To celebrate Facebook’s 10th anniversary in an original way TIME magazine has made a web application that allows us to calculate how much time we have spent and number of our posts since we have registration on the site.
